BrightPath Bookkeeping was founded on a simple belief: small business owners deserve clear, accurate financials and a bookkeeping partner they can truly trust.
Over the course of my career, I've accumulated over 12 years of experience working with private companies, helping build and maintain strong financial foundations. My experience spans Information Technology, Property Management, Real Estate Investing, Virtual Staffing and service-based businesses, where I’ve designed bookkeeping systems, implemented accounting software, cleaned up historical records, and worked closely with CPAs, lenders, and investors to support informed decision-making.
Much of this work was done behind the scenes, supporting owners and leadership teams as their businesses grew, evolved, and became more complex. BrightPath Bookkeeping was created to bring that same depth of experience and disciplined approach to a broader group of business owners, serving as a true value-added partner rather than just a transactional service provider.

Hi, my name is Yancy Mattheis and I'm a QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor in Pearland, TX, a large suburb of Houston. Thanks to the internet and cloud technology, I'm able to work with business owners across the US, handling their bookkeeping, which allows them to focus on what they do best… growing their business.
Over the course of my career, the most satisfying results I have had almost always revolved around helping small to medium sized business owners succeed in growing their business. This has usually come about thru implementing bookkeeping systems and disciplines, and later as I gained experience, supporting them with financial modeling and reporting that helped set the path for their future growth.
The success these businesses had has fueled my passion to help more businesses grow, to the point where I've established BrightPath Bookkeeping to pursue this passion.
I was born and raised in Milwaukee, WI and came to Texas via one of the businesses I helped grow. I currently live in Pearland, TX with my wife of 35 years and our dog Peach.
